Anandajioti
Stelios Karpathakis
Stelios Karpathakis / Anandajyoti was born in Athens. He is a singer, musician, songwriter, vocal teacher and presenter of Satyananda Yoga. He studied classical song, theory and harmony of music in Attica Conservatory with Dionas Aryvas and modern with Mary Dalakou. He was a student of Swami Nirvikalpananda at Yoga Studio Maroussi and at the same time he trained in yoga seminars in Satyanandasram Greece under the guidance of Swami Sivamurti Saraswati. Has watched seminars: interpretation and speech with Stamatis Kraounakis, acting with Konstantinos Arvanitakis, meditation techniques (Pratyahara and Darana) with Swami Sivamurti Saraswati, sound and chakra (Nada Yoga) with Olga Alexiou / Swami Nirvikalpananda and Michalis Evangelidis / Mahatman.
It has appeared in various musical venues and theaters (Stavros tou Notou, Athens, Foundry, Herodio, theater of Epidaurus, Cosmos Stage etc.) and has collaborated with important artists (Stamati Kraounaki, Vassilis Papakonstantinou, Giannis Koutra, Marinela, Costa Makedona, Dimitra Papiou, Laki Lazopoulos, Plutarch, etc.). He was a founder member of the music-theater group Spira-Spira of Stamatis Kraounaki and participated in all performances and cds (All Black and One Piano, Classical Recipe) until 2007. Appeared in the film of Nikos Panagiotopoulos Delivery interpreting the song of the same name by Stamatis Kraounaki.
He has worked as a yoga teacher with: the Satyananda Yoga Center of Peania, the Yoga Studio Maroussi of Olga Alexiou / Swami Nirvikalpananda, the Anahat by Katerina Vakali, the Dance Room of Victoria Numta, the Theotokos Foundation, the Atmandarsan of Rena Poukamisa, the Yoga Studio Health by Maria Mouchtaridou and the Sadhana of Katerina Gianakopoulou. Together with Bhakti Age Kirtan Group organizes events with sound meditation and yoga music (kirtan) and participates in Yoga Festival (Love Fest, Festival of the Yoga Association of Greece etc.). He is going to release a personal cd with his own his songs as well as music using mantras with the Bhakti Age.
